We, the Panhellenic Community, recognize that each and every individual has a different financial background and to ensure inclusivity and accessibility within our community we offer scholarships to help afford the cost of dues. By providing financial assistance, we hope to break down economic barriers within our community and allow individuals from diverse socio-economic backgrounds to participate in the sisterhood our chapters have to offer. We hope to foster an equitable and enriching community, where all members can contribute regardless of financial means.

My time in the Panhellenic community began at a college in the Midwest, where I was initiated into Alpha Chi Omega as a freshman that had a limited knowledge of Greek life. Then that summer I decided to transfer to Northeastern, which led me to change the Alpha Chi chapter that I was affiliated with and join Northeastern fall recruitment the first week of school—with me being the recruiter this time. Though I initially thought it would be a nerve-racking experience, from the moment I started recruiting alongside my new sisters my doubts disappeared and I knew that regardless of whether I was in the Midwest or the Northeast, I would be able to find the “love in the bond” that is a part of Alpha Chi’s motto. More importantly, I also knew that I wanted to retain the bonds that I was forming inside and outside my chapter throughout my collegiate career.
As a member of Alpha Chi Omega and the chapter’s Panhellenic Delegate, the Panhellenic Scholarship allowed me to do just that, while also providing aid to whoever else that wants to be a part of this community. With the help of the Panhellenic scholarship, I was able to dedicate more time on my role as a sorority executive, which has also inspired me to take on other roles of leadership in organizations such as the Turkish Student Association, where I will be serving as the Vice President starting Fall 2024. Looking back at my undergraduate experience, I am forever thankful for everything that Panhellenic has offered, and am excited to keep fostering these bonds across sororities.
