Phi Sigma Rho was founded with the vision of becoming the leading social sorority for women in engineering and engineering technology, fostering lifelong friendships, scholarship, and encouragement among its members. Our mission is to redefine sorority life through engineering through their pillars of connecting through an inherent spirit, united by a common goal and overall be energized by leading dynamic lives.
Emily Woo shares, "I never imagined that I would join a sorority coming to college. Moving to Boston freshman year was my first time living in a city and it felt isolating to be away from my friends and family. I made some amazing friends but I felt like I was missing the feeling of community I had back home.
I decided to join Phi Rho’s recruitment spring semester and I actually met my soon-to-be big during those recruitment events! Joining PSR has been one of the best decisions I’ve made and being a member has truly shaped my college experience. There is such a strong sense of sisterhood in a field that can often be extremely competitive. We encourage each other to maintain a social/work/academic balance and we always want to see each other succeed!
If you’re on the fence or just curious about joining a sorority, I encourage you to look into it and you never know where you might end up!"
