Northeastern University Health and Counseling Services (UHCS) offers support, information, and response to Mental and Medical Health concerns including same day routine and urgent medical visits, walk-in mental health assessments and resources, 24/7 mental health support, follow-up visits as needed for medical and mental health concerns, referrals to clinical care resources in the community, immunization compliance, medical leave of absence, and the Northeastern University Student Health Plan. Northeastern's Office of Prevention and Education at Northeastern (OPEN) seeks to promote a safer, healthier Northeastern community through evidence-based education, prevention, and resources including the topics of alcohol, other drugs, sexual violence, sexual health as well as other wellness-related topics. The Office of Prevention and Education hosts the Sexual Violence Resource Center which provides confidential support services to Northeastern students who have experienced any form of sexual violence both recently or in the past, Confidential Resource Advising, Alcohol and other drug check-ins, Frisky Husky which delivers sexual care items to your mailbox, and Husky to Husky Peer Educators. OPEN has online courses accessible through Canvas that teach and inform on topics including bystander intervention, sexual violence prevention, alcohol education, sexual health and more. 

Boston Area Rape Crisis Center: provides free, confidential support services to survivors of sexual violence as well as their families and friends. Our goal is to empower survivors to heal and seek justice in ways that are meaningful to the survivor. 

Healing Support Group: OPEN offers an 8-week support group for survivors of sexual assault each semester which discusses self-care, coping strategies, navigating relationships and intimacy after trauma, self-esteem, boundary setting, etc. 

SHAPE Program: OPEN offers the Sexual Harm and Accountability PsychoEducation (SHAPE) Program which is a program designed for college students who have engaged in and/or accused of unhealthy or harmful sexual behavior. Throughout this program students learn and build skills to have healthy and consensual interactions. Some of the topics in this program include consent, sexual citizenship, healthy relationships, communication, peer influence, alcohol, power and control, as well as self-accountability.  

Northeastern RedEye:   The Redeye is an off campus safety escort.  Every night from 5PM to 6AM Northeastern Redeye vans will pick up students at Egan Access Road, behind Snell Library. You must book a ride in advance using the RedEye app and the RedEye is available for students who live within a two mile radius from the center of campus

Personal Safety Escorts: If you ever feel uncomfortable and need to be accompanied from one point to another you can call (617)-373-2121 to schedule a safety escort pick up. Escorts approximately arrive within 10 to 15 minutes. 

RAINN: The Rape, Abuse, Incest and National Network is the largest anti-sexual violence organization in the country. RAINN operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline (800.656.HOPE)

Northeastern Spiritual Advisors: Northeastern offers personalized one-on-one spiritual advising sessions to all within the Northeastern community. The spiritual advisors offer assistance and support fir both spiritual as well as personal needs.
