Julia Castillo shares, "When I joined SDT I had no idea the amazing people I would meet, the laughs I would have and how much it would influence my overall college experience.

When I decided to go through recruitment, I was nervous and doubtful that I would find a place where I could make real friends. But, during recruitment SDT was the one place where I felt myself laughing constantly with everyone around me and constantly having a fun time and good conversations. On Bid Day I met one of my best friends, Duffy, who is one of the funniest people I know. Although me and Duffy barely knew each other before joining the sorority we consistently had people asking how long we had been friends because of how close we seemed and how much we laughed when we were together.

On my first sister date I met Anna who I knew would be my best friend and big from the second we started talking, and bonded about everything from burritos, to London to skiing. Anna has taught me what it means to be a good friend, and is one of the people that I feel the most comfortable with and know I can share anything with. My sorority family has been my home away from home, which has been great considering I live about a 4 hour flight away from Boston.

Some of my best memories from the last year have been with this sorority and the people I have met through it. I am so excited for the next few years with these girls and the plans I have such as Lollapalooza with my fam, and Kahan in Vermont!! I am so glad that I decided to join and couldn’t be happier with the decision I made."
